In September 2018, Amy saw a post on Facebook (Sevenoaks Mums Forum) from Lizzy asking for toiletries and hygiene items. Emptying out her cupboards and finding a load of hotel miniatures and unwanted gifts she delivered them to Lizzy and felt compelled to get involved. She started collecting items in her local town of Tenterden. It was soon very apparent that the need in Ashford and Tenterden was great and Amy started donating to the Women’s Refuge, Children’s Centres and Schools.

Her work with schools in the area grew and it was with this momentum that the Schools Partnership Programme was born. We now partner with schools all over the UK.

Amy studied Arts Therapy but has spent most of her career life as as a Sales Professional. In 2018, Amy decided that she wanted to focus on her family so took a break from her career and inspired by Lizzy, got involved in The Hygiene Bank.

I feel so proud to be a part of this incredible charity and making a difference everyday. Working with schools in all areas has been eyeopening and propelled me to do even more to help break the stigma involved with hygiene poverty.
