Linda works in Children’s Social Work Services across North and West Kent. We provide her with essential toiletries and hygiene products that then get distributed between five teams who work across the borough.. These wonderful people in turn give the products out to their clients in crisis. This morning we gave Linda a box full of toiletries for babies and children and 140 #ITSINTHEBAG bags for their mothers. The email I then received this afternoon made me cry.

I just want to thank you for the amazing work you have undertaken by opening the Hygiene bank and the commitment, effort and time you have put into this valuable work. I can assure you that the wonderful bags of toiletries you have provided us have all been given out to the five social work teams based here at the Willows, who were overwhelmed with them to say the least.
It means more than you know to our client groups to receive such treats and I will feed back some of their comments to you when I get feedback from the teams.
These items you have provided helps us to show that people do really care about them and it gives them something to feel good about themselves.
There are many charities that help children but very few are aimed at the mothers or young teenagers who for one reason or another have found themselves in difficulties.
Please send my sincere thanks to all who have been involved to support your Hygiene Bank.
Some people dream an idea and some make it happen thanks for making it happen.
