National Hygiene Week
September 14th-20th 2020
The Hygiene Bank is launching National Hygiene Week to help raise awareness that hygiene poverty is real
for many of the 14 million living in poverty in the UK.
There has never been a greater need for The Hygiene Bank to address this social injustice, so take a stand and join us in our campaign. We're saying #BOGOF to hygiene poverty, and want you to do the same. Find as many Buy One Get One Free, and other similar offers and deals on hygiene products as you can, keep a product for yourself, and then donate the other. Then, share your great deal and good deed on social media to let others know where they can do the same!
Our goal for National Hygiene Week is to raise awareness and start a conversation about hygiene poverty. Will you help us?
7 ways you can help support and get involved.
National Hygiene Week is an opportunity to raise awareness about hygiene poverty by bringing together thought leaders, community partners, grassroots organisers, schools, charities, and volunteers to contribute to the public conversation and increase demand for action so that collectively we are a voice for change.
We want to make sure National Hygiene Week is safe and enjoyable for everyone, so we’ve adapted our programme to prioritise the safety and well-being of our volunteers and participants. In accordance with Government and PHE guidelines, the week will include panel events and webinars exploring the issue at large, the systemic reasons why hygiene poverty exists and how we can solve hygiene poverty together. The week also includes outdoor challenges as well as celebrity quizzes, film viewing and more.
