Set up a Hygiene Bank
Without people like you there wouldn't be a network of hygiene banks supporting people in crisis across the UK. We’ll provide you with all the tools, training and know-how to start a hygiene bank, so that people in your town can break free from the constraints of having to choose to eat or be clean.
Each of our hygiene banks is run by a team of volunteers, headed up by a Project Coordinator(s). Before applying we recommend you gather your team together. Three team members is the minimum starting number. Usually one person is the nominated project coordinator for administration purposes but together the team set up drop off points, collect and sort donations, deliver them to mapped local charity partners, fundraise and engage in community activities to raise awareness of the charity. Setting up a hygiene bank is a unique opportunity to gain a whole range of skills and experience, make new friends and gain the satisfaction of leading and working in a team that makes a real difference in your community.
Projects are required to make a set up contribution of £600 and this helps towards the costs of printing and delivering all assets and on-going support from Head Office. This contribution can be raised via fundraising.
