Give a job interview readiness kit, and help someone back into work

The fact is, employers won’t offer a job to someone who looks and smells unhygienic – even if it’s not their fault.

Everyone deserves to be able to feel confident and present themselves well at a job interview, and improve their situation.

💛 A donation of £15 is enough to provide a hygiene kit, including a toothbrush, toothpaste, shower gel, shampoo, deodorant, a hairbrush, razor & shaving gel, helping someone like Daniel feel prepared.

Your donation will help The Hygiene Bank distribute basic hygiene products to people who would otherwise struggle to afford them.
The Hygiene Bank receives product donations from members of the public and from collaborating brands and retailers. Donated products are then distributed via our 170 local projects - which are entirely run by our volunteers- to our network of 1600 Community Partners, who pass them on to people who need them most. Our Community Partners are schools, food banks, community centres, homeless shelters or womens’ refuges, among others.

We keep expanding our network, especially in areas where our support is needed most. The demand for our services keeps increasing due to the cost of living crisis, and we cannot supply products to our network with donated products alone.

The Hygiene Bank uses funds from campaigns like this one to:

  • Buy products that people need that are not donated. This can include products that are not donated often and/or for people with people with specific needs – e.g. skin conditions, continence problems.
  • Cover the costs of transport and storage to get donated products out to our local projects and store them safely until they are distributed to our Community Partners people who need them.
  • Other necessary expenses involved in supporting and sustaining a national network of local projects, activities to attract more volunteers, train volunteers, and raising the funds needed to attract more donors, and more product donations, so local projects hubs continue to receive enough products for the people who need them.
