On Monday 24th April, the Clean & Tidy Home Show launched the 5-5-5 campaign in support of The Hygiene Bank.
The 5-5-5 campaign can be better understood as a Clean for The Hygiene Bank Challenge – Clean 5, Donate 5, Nominate 5. Mirroring the running challenges that took social media by a storm during the pandemic, in this campaign, participants are encouraged to clean 5 items within their home, donate £5 to The Hygiene Bank, and nominate 5 others to also take up the challenge, leaning on the power of community and social media to fundraise.
In less than 4 hours after the 5-5-5 was launched on the Clean & Tidy Home Show Instagram account, the video saw over 100 likes and 20 participants.
This is the second year that the Clean & Tidy Home Show are supporting The Hygiene Bank as their Official Charity Partner. The campaign marks just over 5 months to go until the The Clean & Tidy Home Show – an annual event and exhibition committed to helping people make a home that supports their lifestyle. Visitors can meet likeminded homemakers, see live demonstrations and try out exciting brands and products in-person – and are part of the 365 clean and tidy community.
The 5-5-5 also marks the 5 year anniversary of The Hygiene Bank – a grassroots, people-powered charity and social movement, grounded in community. The charity’s belief that feeling clean should never be a luxury or a privilege for anyone in our society has led to their concerted effort to provide the hygiene basics to those who do not have the means to access it for themselves, and the Clean & Tidy Home Show were proud to donate all leftover goodybags from the 2022 show directly to The Hygiene Bank as well as encourage and help to facilitate brands to donate leftover stock and samples.
Any tickets bought for the Clean & Tidy Home Show during the first 5 days of the campaign will also automatically donate £5 to The Hygiene Bank, completely free
